Sunday Announcements - January 14th, 2018     printable version

Prayers for Sam and Janelle Steffen - Thank you so much for your past and continued prayers on their behalf. Sam is at home. The doctors have again given him days to live. They are at peace. His pain is controlled. When he is awake he is alert and joking around. They are open to the home coming and they are open to a miracle. Either way they continue to praise the name of the Lord.

I wish to thank everyone who remembered me with Christmas Cards and the pictures I receive that I keep for a whole year to look at. I want to thank everyone who wished me good wishes for another year, for the gifts of love you send, and most of all for your prayers and encouraging words to carry on in my old age. I wish I could thank you all separately, but it would be impossible. I am very blessed to be a part of this wonderful church family. May God bless you all and for all the visits I get which I enjoy very much. May God bless you all richly. Josephine Schwartz

Thank you - Dear church family, thank you so much for the prayers, cards and kind words for our mom, Barb Pfister. She is continuing to make good progress since her stroke and is living at Christian Care. Barb's Family

Thank you - To my church family, thank you for all your words of kindness, prayers, cards, and the gifts I received this past Christmas. I greatly appreciate it and love all of you. In Christian Love, Sally Schwartz

HarvestCall Projects – Ladies, do you desire intergenerational fellowship? Would you be willing to help with needs in our community and other countries? Then please consider attending HCP this Thursday, January 18 in the basement of the Fellowship Hall from 9am to 2pm. Please come for all or part of the day. (If all day, pack a sack lunch; coffee/tea are provided.) If you are a young mother with children, consider trading Thursday mornings with another young mother and help each other with babysitting so you both can have fellowship with older women one day a month. We could use sewers, quilters (experienced and novices), those to knot comforters, and non-sewers. Contact is Becky Gerber.

The Combined Choir will practice this Thursday evening at Bluffton North beginning at 7pm.

Finding Freedom - Biblical Leadership. We as men are all leaders in some degree, whether we choose it or not. It’s our choice what kind of influence we will have. Through scripture, we are called to be leaders of integrity in all aspects of life. Whether you’re single, married, have a family, work a blue-collar job, are CEO, teach Sunday school, lead a Bible study, mentor others, or quietly lead your own life as an example to others, intentional and Biblical leadership is critical. Join us for an evening to be challenged, encouraged, and focused on what our calling is as Christian men. It will be held on Friday, February 2nd at 6:00 at the Fellowship Hall. Recommended donation of $10 for the meal.

Serving lunch today:  John & Trudy Eisenmann and Eric & Marcia Steffen
Local Missionaries to pray for this week: Aaron & Bobbie Howley
